Miss Anita Roper Scholarship Fund
Miss Anita Roper, Mama as she is fondly called by all reaganites all over the world has been an embodiment of sacrificial giving and she continues to inspire us to be what God has called each of us to be. Mama served tirelessly as a missionary at Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School Lagos for 37 years, and it is only fitting for us to name this scholarship fund after her. 

How It Works

The purpose of the Miss Anita Roper Scholarship Fund Program is to provide supplemental or additional funding towards tuition and other expenses to one (1) deserving student per school year.


Students must be full-time students of Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls Secondary School Yaba.


  • Must not have disciplinary issues for 2 consecutive years
  • Must demonstrate or express interest in scholarship by applying by due date
  • Must complete student essay by due date
  • Must have good academic standing
  • Must have 2 letters of recommendation from faculty (teachers)

Application requirements

To be considered, applicants must complete an online application and return to scholarship fund review committee by March 31, 2016.

  1. A completed application form. Only completed forms will be considered
  2. 2 letters of recommendation with at least one from a teacher and/or school official at staff level.
  3. A one page, 250-word essay (Describe why you are applying for the scholarship, and briefly describe your educational and career goals)
  4. Last report card
  • All 4 items must be submitted before application will be considered.
  • Completed forms should be completed and submitted electronically.
  • Letters of recommendation and report cards should be uploaded as pdf files.

ROGA USA 2015 Reunion
Every summer ROGA USA holds  it annual reunion for alumnae and family around North America. The purpose is to provide an annual social event that will provide alumnae the opportunity to connect with old classmates, develop networking opportunities and discuss how we can give back to our old school. Save the Date for 2016 Reunion. May 5th - 8th, 2O16.

School History
Reagan Memorial Baptist Girls’ Secondary School was founded in 1941 by the Southern Missionary Board, USA. It is located at 29 Commercial Avenue, Yaba Lagos, Nigeria. It started as a primary school in 1948 when the girls were transferred to the present site in the third year. The school was named in honor of Ms. Lucille Reagan, a missionary who wanted the idea of having a separate Baptist high school for girls. Ms. Reagan passed away of yellow fever in 1936. Ms. Cora Ney Hardy was the first principal. The first African principal was Ms. Adeola Adegbite.
